Small town in Gard, on the edge of Ardèche, Gagnières is located not far from Saint-André-de-Cruzières, Bessèges or Molières-sur-Cèze.
Mainly focused on green tourism, the town was previously known for its coal mines, of which there were nine in the second half of the 18th century. Gagnières also owned gold mining mines.
Today, this city in the south-east of France is mainly appreciated for its preserved landscapes allowing the practice of hiking and other outdoor sports.
