- Its location and its history:
- In the Middle Ages, the first documented mention of Fussey date in the year 1012 under the name Fusciacus.
- Fussey could come from fustis, Latin for cut wood (log). Fussey could have long had the vocation of a supplier of wood and place, perhaps charcoal: Fussey as charcoal.
- Rising to 606.80 meters, in the heart of the Hautes-Côtes, Fussey offers a vast panorama covering the plain to the mountains of the Jura and even the Alps, the Côte de Beaune to Dijon but also a view of the valley of Ouche.
- Long shared between livestock and agriculture, Fussey has also long winemaking tradition. Its agricultural tradition is still preserved.
