Forcalquier

• Notre-Dame du Bourguet: Co-cathedral known since 1155. Primitive plan in Latin cross with a central nave in broken cradle, Roman transept, gothic apse, modified in the seventeenth century by the addition of lateral naves. The organ is from 1629, remarkable instrument. Beautiful stained glass window above.
• Convent of the Cordeliers: Franciscan convent of the thirteenth century. Free access to the gardens and the cloister. The rooms are sometimes open for exhibitions. Perfumer's workshop: perfume creation course in the superb amphitheater of the Cordeliers convent. A magical and unforgettable moment proposed by the European University of Scents and Flavors. Not to miss !
• Artemisia Museum: New! The convent is now home to the Artemisia Museum, an invitation to discover Haute Provence and its fragrant, aromatic and medicinal plants. Space of knowledge for all, Artemisia Museum immerses you in the heart of the secret of the plants of Haute Provence through 7 interactive discovery spaces.
• Cemetery classified historic monument for its cut yews forming a cloister of greenery.
• Les Mourres, natural site: These are limestone buildings that have been shaped by erosion. They are about 25 million years old. Mourre in Provencal means head. They are huge limestone mushrooms and they are spectacular. The place is pretty wild. Access: at Forcalquier, take Avenue Marcel André which goes up to the left of the Place de la Mairie, then turn right on the D12 towards Fontienne. After about 2.5 km, we arrive at the site. A large car park called "cedar bank" is on the left: there is room for a bus and several cars.

• Every Monday morning large Provençal market.
• Votive feast of Saint-Pancrace in May.
• In summer, Cooksound festivals (in July) and Rencontres Musicales de Haute Provence (the last week of July).
• Every year in mid-July: Terres de Provence ceramics market. This day, organized by the association Ciel et Terre, offers the public of Forcalquier, a discovery of the richness of today's ceramics. 24 potters and ceramists exhibit their production of glazed clay, raku, sandstone, porcelain, smoked clay, earthenware... Through utilitarian pieces but also sculpture, jewelry, artistic pieces. You will also enjoy a turning demonstration and an explosive modeling workshop for young and old.
