Florac Trois Rivières

Rivers are the main attraction of the city. They offer an idyllic setting for walks along the waterfront and you can admire fish and ducks. Caution, fishing is prohibited in these countries.

Walking through the town of Florac-Trois-Rivières, you will enjoy the narrow streets and admire the various vaulted passages of the old town. A marked and commented itinerary allows to better know the secrets and the mysteries of this city of the south.

Do not miss to go through the castle, which serves as an entrance to the Cévennes National Park. A part of the building serves as a museum of the Park, retracing the history, the fauna and the flora of this unique site.

The market is held every Thursday morning. On Tuesdays, in July and August, the town also offers a night market.

The Festa's of Florac are held every year in August, offering olympiads, musical evenings, or games for children.

In October, at the end of the month, the Soup Festival proposes to taste different varieties of soups prepared by the inhabitants of the city.

Przewalski horses are prehistoric horses that have never been domesticated. Morphologically, they differ from domestic horses. They come from Mongolia and are acclimated to the Causse above Florac where they live and breed in the wild. When the herd gets too large, the surplus is returned in original Mongolian steppes.
