Ferrières-en-Brie

Castle Ferrières, built in the mid-nineteenth century for Baron Rothschild attracts many visitors throughout the year. Surrounded by a lovely English park, the castle was inaugurated by Napoleon III himself. It has very beautiful neo-Renaissance facade and an incredible replica of the grand staircase of the Crystal Palace in London. Classified as an historic monument, it has thirty suites that served as a filming location for many films like Grandpa is resisting, Royal Palace! or 99 francs.

Built around 1230, the Saint-Rémy church presents its visitors elements from the tenth, eleventh, thirteenth and sixteenth centuries. Inside, one can admire a beautiful bedside Champagne kind. The latter was classified as an historic monument in the middle of the nineteenth century.

At the end of the year, Ferrières-en-Brie hosts a charming Christmas market.

Ferrières-en-Brie is located near the other towns of the agglomeration Marne and Gondoire which offer many activities and leisures, including the museum Louis Braille Coupvray. It is 12 minutes from Disneyland via the A4 and 22 minutes from the leisure island of Jablines.

Ferrières-en-Brie is also very close to the Cultural Park of Rentilly-Michel Chartier, as well as near the Sea Life water park of Val d'Europe, a unique place in the Paris region.
