Bourg du Territoire de Belfort, Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Évette-Salbert takes place just a few kilometers from Belfort, at the foot of the Salbert Massif. It is located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges, at the limit of the Haute-Saone department.
The municipality of Évette-Salbert was born in 1972 from the merger of the villages of Evette and Salbert, becoming an important element of the agglomeration of Belfort. Simple hamlet in the early fourteenth century, the territory was known for its agricultural activity through the production of rye, buckwheat, rapeseed or oats. Owned by the Grimaldi family of the French Revolution until 1830, the city is today best known for its tourist activity and its many leisure activities made available to passing visitors.
Gastronomy lovers will also appreciate the local specialty, the Evalbertoise, a baguette designed in honor of the new gentile of the town.
