Created in the second half of the 19th century, the municipal museum of Étampes, in Essonne, presents collections from a donation proposed by the widow of the local sculptor, Elias Robert.
On the program of the municipal museum of Étampes, archaeological and local history objects, as well as paintings from the 19th century. Labeled Museum of France since the early 2000s, the site thus reveals works by Elias Robert, as well as Félix Giacomotti and Édouard Béliard.
Passing visitors can also admire fossils, Gallo-Roman mosaics or even a 12th century wrought iron gate from the Abbey of Morigny.
