The village of Esquelbecq is located in Flanders. It has 2200 inhabitants and covers 1195 hectares. It has retained its authentic Flemish. It is crossed from west to east by the Yser, famous small coastal river, lined with many oak trees, which gave the name of the village whose origins Flemish "Ekelsbeke" means "acorn-stream".
