The Granier and Desert ski resorts are located in the town of Entremont-le-Vieux, in Savoie, 20 km south of Chambéry.
Located in the north of the Chartreuse massif, they form the same entity (under the name of the Entremonts en Chartreuse resort) and are accessible via the same pass.
However, the areas, developed from 1968, are not connected.
Managed by an association, the resort of Le Granier, whose area ranges from 1000 to 1400 m in altitude, has 4 runs: one red, one blue and two green, i.e. 4 km of descents in total, which allows to an essentially family audience to ski according to their level in a preserved environment.

As for the Entremont Desert, where the area is located at an average altitude of 1200 m, four alpine ski slopes are accessible (1 green, 2 blue, 1 red). However, it is the Nordic area that is very popular with 45 km of cross-country ski trails (also usable for skating). There are also 60 km of snowshoe trails available, divided into 4 routes of varying difficulty. In another register, orienteering and mountain biking trails have also been developed.
