The commune of Bouches-du-Rhône, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Ensuès-la-Redonne takes place on the coast of the Côte Bleue, not far from Carry-le-Rouet, and about twenty kilometers from Marseille. Bordered by creeks and marinas, it is largely protected by the Conservatoire du littoral.
The Ensuès-la-Redonne commune was inhabited in the 15th century by a number of shepherds from the region. Its economy, yesterday as today, has always turned to the resources of the Mediterranean, revolving around the vineyard, the olive tree or goat breeding and fishing.
