The house is located Chanonges Embrun in the Hautes-Alpes.
This is a Romanesque building, built in the thirteenth century, facing the porch of the Cathedral of the city. The canons of the chapter were used to meet there.
Architecturally, its façade is remarkable, punctuated by several twin bays. On the top, a high relief sculpture represents a lion devouring a goat.
Inside the house, the coffered ceiling also the thirteenth century wall painting from 1513 that evokes the legend of Saint-Eustache and on the floor, the ceiling in the seventeenth French are other wonders.
Considered the oldest in the city building, home Chanonges now houses the Cultural Services of the City of Embrun and exhibitions, conferences and meetings there are scheduled throughout the year.
