Somme medieval castle, the castle of Eaucourt-sur-Somme is now in ruins. Built between the early thirteenth century to the fifteenth and now listed historic monument, it is behind the work of the Lords of La Ferte.
Burned in the fifteenth century by Philip the Good, duke of Burgundy then, the building was rebuilt a few years before being dismantled in the late sixteenth century during the League that saw opposing Catholics and Protestants. Since the late twentieth century, the castle of Eaucourt-sur-Somme has undergone several restoration campaigns and is now used to host medieval festivals or entertainment destinations in schools or groups.
