On the borders of Anjou, at the gates of Brittany, on the hillsides overlooking the Loire, this rural commune will bring you calm, relaxation and change of scenery.
The landscapes are composed of vineyards and meadows on the slopes of the banks of the Loire.
You can taste wines at the producers, several wine cellars welcome you. You will discover Muscadets, Gamay Rosé and Red Coteaux d'Ancenis, Anjou Blanc, Red and Rosé, but also the precious Malvoisie, a small nugget of the Loire, a slightly sweet white wine.
The story tells that the giant Gargantua, staying in the region, had to decide between the inhabitants of Liré and the Marillais who thought they were each halfway between Angers and Nantes. In order to demarcate these two villages and to indicate as accurately as possible the middle ground, Gargantua put his left foot on Nantes, his right foot on Angers and relieved himself. Everyone shouted then: "Bouse is there!" And the former commune of Bouzille, now attached to Orée-d'Anjou, was born.
