Located at 9 km north of the white and part of the Parc Naturel Régional de la Brenne (the dam of the pond of the Red Sea, the largest lake of the Brenne, is limited to common), Douadic welcomes you to the edge of Suin. You can visit the church of Saint Ambrose, traveling the country of thousand lakes and discover fauna and flora unique (many orchids, migrating birds - Whiskered Tern, Purple Heron?).

The common Douadic includes 3000 ha of land, 700 acres of woodland and 400 ha of ponds in which to live.

Things to see and do

St. Ambrose Church was built in the late 12th century and is a listed monument since September 22, 1914. The building forms a parallelogram Adjoining a chapel to the Virgin of the 15th century and a vestry south of the sanctuary. The church has a nave of three bays and a choir of two bays. South Side, is grafted near the front, a pentagonal tower that houses the stairs to the belfry. It has many frescoes, the most impressive is the fresco of the Last Judgment dated 13th century dominates the wall behind the altar.

Events and festivities

The tomato festival, May 6 each year is the appointment of gardeners. Tomato plants, vegetables, flowers, trees and shrubs are on the frontline. But the craftsmen and traders are also involved: cars, mechanized farming, landscape designers, producers of regional products, clothing?

The annual festival the first weekend of July, organized by all the associations and the municipality is the first demonstration of summer Saturday evening dinner and entertainment on Sunday flea market, carnival, bike race, parade of cars old food, fireworks and free ball wound up the festive weekend.
