Dontreix

Remodeled over the centuries, the 12th century church of Dontreix deserves a stop. It has a semicircular portal, capitals adorned with hooks or a bell-tower whose base dates from the origins of the building.

While strolling in the village, you will also be able to admire a Roman altar, a 19th century oratory located on the D4, or even megaliths with cupules in the forest of Drouille. The latter is known to have been a forest of druids and mistletoe oaks, and to be today a place of walk appreciated in all seasons.

Do not miss a tour of pond Neuf and its twenty-two hectares to enjoy beautiful days outdoors. The latter is also a very popular fishing site.

For the national holiday, in July, the town offers a hiking, a popular dance and fireworks on pond Nine.

End of August or beginning of September, place at the patronal feast of the Saint-Julien, with its fishing contest, its petanque competition, its festive meals, its ball, its torchlight procession, its fireworks, its musical animations or still his parade of floated floats. A funfair is also planned for the program.

In November, a festive lotto is proposed in the village hall.
