Dinéault is located a few kilometers north-west of Châteaulin in Finistère. We must believe that the Celtic Gods leaned over its cradle: first by offering it a magnificent green setting, then by placing it in the hollow of the nonchalant meanders of the Alder river whose valley offers its sumptuous landscapes to the eye..
And then the Ménez-Hom, this 330 m high "mountain" dominates the city to protect it on its eastern slope, while looking towards the setting sun at the magnificent bay of Douarnenez. Coming from the Black Mountains range, one of the highest points in Brittany, he watches over with the Ménez Braz. These high natural belvederes encourage the eyes to gaze at the nearby Atlantic Ocean; about ten minutes are enough to reach these long beaches stretching out on their bed of fine sand, or even these wild coves clinging to the powerful sides of the granite cliffs...
This is how the banks of the 'Maritime alder at the top of Ménez-Hom, numerous hiking trails - including the famous GR 34 - crisscross the magnificent landscapes. The preserved grove, the quiet strength of the Alder, the moors and heather on the slopes of Ménez-Hom offer you, moreover, an astonishing natural heritage.
The neighborhood of the small town of Trégarvan (135 inhabitants) is also worth highlighting: whether it is its School museum, its small port nestled near the Aulne, its Village of Holidays (VVF), its undeniable charm will delight more than one.
Dinéault, (in Breton Dineol, the words "din" - fortified hill - and "heol" - sun -), with its 4,763 hectares, it now has a population of over 2,200 inhabitants. It offers a vast natural space being one of the most extensive of the 11 municipalities of the Aulne Tourist Office.
Dinéault is part of the Community of Communes of Pleyben - Châteaulin - Porzay (CCPCP) which brings together 16 other towns with nearly 25,000 inhabitants. This park presents a wide variety of landscapes, environments and activities representative of the landscape, ecological, economic and cultural diversity of Finistère and evokes the mysterious atmosphere of inland Brittany.
