Small village of Bas-Rhin, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Northern Vosges, Diemeringen takes place eighty kilometers from Strasbourg, Alsace Bossue. It is located near the Moselle, between northern Alsace and southern Alsace, between Nancy and Metz.
Originally owned by the family of Wittelsbach-Deux-Ponts, the seigniory of Diemeringen knows in its history several morcellements, notably through successive inheritances. Ravaged during the wars of the seventeenth century, the town was still a foreign enclave at the dawn of the French Revolution. It was not until 1793 that it was attached to the French Republic.
Even today, Diemeringen attracts visitors with its authentic charm and architectural heritage, but also for its culinary specialties such as the Chasseur sausage or the potato sausage.
