Located in the heart of Indre-et-Loire, the birthplace of Descartes is today the subject of an inscription in the Historic Monuments. A 16th century building, it takes place in the middle of beautiful medieval houses and has been transformed into a very interesting museum dedicated to the life and work of the French philosopher, mathematician and physicist.
On site, the collections also offer a beautiful panorama of the history and culture of the 17th century. The ensemble now benefits from the Musée de France, Maison des Illustres and Maison d'écrivain labels.
