Listed as a Historic Monument since 1972, the Saint-Aubin church of Dénezé-sous-Doué originally dates from the 12th century. Transformed in the 14th century, then in the 18th century, it is the only building, with the farm, to survive the destruction of the village by the Huguenots in the second half of the 16th century.
Made up of a simple nave 33 meters long ending in round apses, the Saint-Aubin church reveals on the facade a square portal with a cornice supported by six modulons. A large Roman door with five concentric arches completes the ensemble.
Inside, visitors can discover an 18th century altarpiece with a Virgin, as well as statues of Saint John the Baptist and Saint Peter.
