Located 12 km northwest of Annecy, Cuvat enjoys a privileged location, close to both the city and highway access but still keeping the charm of a rural village. The view of the Parmelan, Annecy lake and the Glières plateau, visible from the top of the town will not leave unaffected the walker is giving pause to admire the scene.
The town is part of the district of Annecy, in the canton of La Roche-sur-Foron and the Community of Cruseilles Country of Commons. Its population in 2019 was 1 347 inhabitants.
When you arrive in the village center, you find the church of the nineteenth century, with its onion dome and interior decoration for the less original, created by the Japanese artist Paul Foujino.
It identifies some shops and businesses, residents mainly work in the cities Annecy or Geneva. The growing number of houses completed since fifteen years is proof of the common attractiveness.
"A Cuvat, everything is" as we used to say it because it's good to live: everyone can enjoy nature, walks and magnificent views.
