Charming village of Vienna, region Nova Aquitaine, Curçay-sur-Dive takes place seventy kilometers from Poitiers and its famous Futuroscope. It is at the limit of Deux-Sevres, near Saint-Laon, Berrie and Glénouze.
Of very ancient origin, the common Curçay-sur-Dive was illustrated during the famous Hundred Years War and the English intrusion between the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Thereafter, the lords of Loudunais made the decision to erect an impregnable fortress to protect the area.
