Curçay-sur-Dive

Ranked historic monument, the keep of the castle of Huet Curçay is the only remnant of the original building. It was built in the mid-fourteenth century. At its foot, you can admire the conservatory of Treilles of the White Queen with 500 plants of old varieties. You will discover the history, origin and characteristics of each grape variety with explanatory panels on an educational path. An ancient vine lodge was also transformed into a venue for photographic exhibitions on the theme of the vine

Today in ruins, the ancient Church of St. Peter was built in the twelfth century before being rebuilt in the seventeenth. Listed historic monument, it now has its exterior walls.

Walking through the village, be sure not to admire the bridge of the White Queen of Gallo Roman origin and listed historic monument, the cave houses and the Church of Saint Catherine. Former chapel of the castle, it presents such a beautiful chorus of the twelfth century.
