Town Yvelines once popular with Impressionist, Croissy-sur-Seine is located about ten kilometers from Paris, not far from the town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Waterfront of the Seine, it has a city look to the popular campaign visitors.

Formerly focused mainly fishing, Croissy-sur-Seine city has seen many ravages over the centuries, including the Vikings in the ninth century, or the English during the Hundred Years War. Things to see and do

On no fewer than four sites classified or listed historic monument in Croissy-sur-Seine. St. Leonard and St. Martin's Chapel was built in the thirteenth century and today serves as an exhibition for the city. Castle Croissy, also registered, the date for its eighteenth century. We can now discover the museum Onesie, which tells the story of the famous tavern nineteenth century engravings, paintings or objects describing the property. The so-called house of Joséphine de Beauharnais welcomed the former empress at the height of the Terror in 1793. Note also the home of Charity, built in the mid-nineteenth century.

Labeled "Country of the Impressionists", the common Croissy-sur-Seine has many vestiges of the golden age of painters like villa Desmarest, a small castle built in 1857 and belonged to a great patron of artists. The house has welcomed people as famous as Bizet, Gounod or Celeste Mogador. The path of the Impressionists, marked by the city, to discover all the important places in the history of art.

At the heart of the old center, a mansion of Louis XIII style dating back to 1869 still reveals its charms from the outside. He has belonged to the actress Charlotte Rampling and her boyfriend at the time, Jean-Michel Jarre.

Built in 1882, the Saint-Léonard church is a religious building in neo-Gothic style.

Events and festivities

The market is held on Friday and Sunday morning.

Every year around June 21, the city organizes its Festival June with a mini festival, the festival of Romper or other very festive events.

Since the nineteenth century, famous Croissy-sur-Seine his famous carrot celebration. In the program, torchlight procession, fireworks, parade, mass, or musical evenings. It is held every second weekend of September.

A mid-October, the romantic Festivals offer concerts, master classes, exhibitions, or performances in a magical setting, the St. Leonard's chapel.

A Christmas market takes place in December.
