It is in the Lot department that Sarrazac is located. Village of Occitania, Sarrazac exists since the end of the eighteenth century but its name is already mentioned as early as the thirteenth century. The village is nestled at the bottom of a valley. Already in the Gallo-Roman period, the territory was occupied until the invasion by the Visigoths in 411. Fifth century sarcophagi were discovered, witnesses of the existence of a Merovingian cemetery. The order of the hospitable people had settled there about the year one thousand after their return from the crusades. Sarrazac has remained a rural town where it is good to take the time to live.
