Common new Aveyron, in Occitan region Palmas d'Aveyron takes place about thirty kilometers of Rodez, near Bozouls Montrozier and Arques. She was born on 1 January 2016 from the merger of Coussergues, Cruéjols and Palmas.

Populated for many centuries, the territory of Palmas d'Aveyron has developed over the centuries, taking little by little the attractive face and authentic it is today. Things to see and do

Listed historical monument, the St. Lawrence Cruéjols church is a magnificent Romanesque building built in the twelfth century. Modified over the centuries, it also presents a nave of the fifteenth century Gothic style. Walking through the town, you will also discover the fifteenth century castle originally owned the barony of Calmont d'Olt. School girls in the 1930s, the building was later sold to an individual. The castle Caylaret not missing more interest with its rectangular tower with battlements and circular turret staircase. The set dates from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Many Roman relics and prehistoric are also visible on the spot like Puech Briounas, dolmens and cave Skyscraper Straw and the way Ferré. The town is also rich of a charming rural heritage with a communal oven, washhouse, fountain or a threshing floor.

Listed historic monument, the St. Vincent de Palmas church is an old chapel that belonged to the castle of the bishops of Rodez. She still has a bell tower that served to keep the building. Also listed historic monument, Luke's dolmen is a staple of the town, like the remains of the ancient castle of the bishops of the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth centuries or Soulages century castle. Strolling through the old village, you will also enjoy the narrow streets lined with old houses with slate roofs, old mills located on the banks of the Aveyron or the charming bridge of the sixteenth century.
