Located beachfront, Cosqueville has undeniable charm. Located between Fermanville and Barfleur, it combines beauty of the land and the sea. With its beaches and its heritage, it is a reflection of this beautiful region Val de Saire.
Cosqueville is also marked by a very ancient history, especially in correlation with Saint-Pierre-Église. Prehistoric megaliths still some beautiful: the "Three Princesses". The first menhir, Haute Pierre is located in Saint-Pierrre-church in the locality Hacouville, not far from the chapel of Lourdes. This stone is 2 m 80 m high and 1 80 down in the ground. The second, called the Long Stone is perhaps the greatest of all the department. This is a huge pillar of 4 m 10 high. It is located at Plat Douet Yard, near a creek that separates St. Peter Church of Cosqueville. A third stone in the municipality of Cosqueville, called the Pierre Planted forms a triangle with the two previous. Located near the Grand Mansion, this menhir three meters high is remarkable, ending in a sort of cone head, worked, what we assume, with hands. Legend has it that the center of this triangle is buried a considerable treasure: the dowry of three princesses, and are referred to the three stones in the country.
