Erected in the middle of the 17th century on the site of an old chapel, the Saint-Martin church is located in the heart of Corsavy, in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Listed as an historic monument, this Romanesque building was the subject of a restoration campaign in the 2000s.
The Saint-Martin church of Corsavy consists of a single nave and a semi-circular apse. Covered with slate and composed of freestone, it seduces with its apse pierced with a single splay window. The latter is surmounted by a frieze of gear teeth.
Accessible via a door pierced in the southern façade, the church has a beautiful ogival double arched triumphal arch. The latter makes the communication between the nave, with the walls enhanced by a protruding stone cordon, and the apse.
