Morvandiau village with its hamlets scattered in their respective clearings, Corancy retains some traces of a very ancient occupation.
At the Huis l'Abbé the memory of an agricultural and artisanal exploitation of Celtic and Gallo-Roman times remains. Some place names evoke the medieval conquest of the land: Les Issards or Ichards, witnesses of clearing; Les Chevannes, huts, settlements of agricultural settlers on the edge of the forest; Neuvelle, gains in agricultural land made until the 11th century.
