Coquelles

Very touristy, the city of Coquelles has a fairly limited assets outside of its relationship with the Channel Tunnel.

Contrary to popular rumor, the entrance to the Channel Tunnel is not in Calais, but to Coquelles, like the Eurotunnel operating site. This is a popular place for tourists wishing to join England and its tourist attractions. The arrival of this event in the 1990s, led to the opening of the largest shopping center in the region, the city of Europe, home to luxury brands and attracts many visitors.

On the Common Coquelles, one can also admire a beautiful wind mill enrolled in French heritage and a roundabout built in honor of the tunnel builders and which hosts a beautiful statue of the TBM.

In addition to welcoming the entrance of the Channel Tunnel, Coquelles is the source of some interesting events.

Coquelles The weekly market takes place every Sunday morning from 9 am to 14h. The city also hosts a great Christmas market.

Every year in February, the Festi'BD Coquelles takes place. A dozen exhibitors present their works, while dedications great authors of comic strip are proposed.

From garage sales and flea markets are also proposed other throughout the year.
