• The Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens church: It was built from 1882 to 1885, according to the plans of the departmental architect Eugène Hawke. It succeeds a church built in 1802, which itself replaced the church burned in 1794. The location is identical but the orientation differs. The choir is now located to the south. The association "the friends of Bernard Chardon" is carrying out a census of the buildings in which Father Bernard Chardon has intervened for restorations or embellishments of stained glass using a new technique: reinforced polyester laminate. This is how we learned that the church of Congrier housed some of them! Bernard Chardon was born in La Ferté-Macé in Orne in 1927. He began painting at the age of 16, and has never left his brushes since. Priest and teacher in the north of Mayenne for many years, he remains, at 90 years old, a tireless seeker of the truth of things and beings. In a very modern and graphic style, Bernard Chardon evokes diverse and varied subjects through canvases, but also with ceramics and stained glass windows. Having a real gift for the association of colors, the expression of feelings and the sense of caricature, Bernard Chardon takes us on a journey into a universe always in movement, in beauty and in complete freedom. The opening of a museum in his name in 2014 in Lassay-les-Châteaux represents for him the accomplishment of all the work he has done over so many years, and finally allows him to generously share his art.
• The Saint-Lézin chapel: When the slate quarries were open-air quarries and not mines, Saint-Lézin, patron saint of the "slate workers", was celebrated on February 13. This small chapel on the territory of the commune of Congrier testifies to this devotion to the oldest protector of slate workers.
