Colombier-le-Vieux

Built in the 13th century, the Château de Belle Comble has passed from hand to hand over the centuries. Now listed as a Historic Monument, this former fortified castle is private property only visible from the outside.

While strolling through the village, you can also discover the fortified house of Ruissas, also listed as a Historic Monument. Built in the 16th century, at the beginning of the Wars of Religion, it underwent major transformations a century later. This building, representative of the seigniorial and rural habitat in Vivarais, is only visible from the outside.

Don't miss the 19th century Saint-Martin church, or the King's bridge (listed as a Historic Monument) which crosses the Doux.

But it is also for its natural heritage that Colombier-le-Vieux is appreciated by visitors. In particular, it is possible to take the Vélorail des Gorges du Doux on the old Tournon-Lamastre route or to go on the various hiking trails around.

A summer market is offered every Saturday morning, between July and August.

At the end of July, place at the votive festival with its musical evenings and petanque competitions.
