Clamart is a town of Île-de-France located in the department of Hauts-de-Seine. It is adjacent to Issy-les-Moulineaux, Fontenay-aux-Roses or Meudon, and is not far from the French capital, Paris. If the first inhabitants of Clamart date back to prehistoric times, it was not until the seventh century to discover a real stronghold. Things to see and do

Clamart has still some beautiful buildings and monuments recalling its rich and ancient history.

Consisting of three buildings, the ancient castle of Barral century house, the round tower, former dovecote grand falconer of King Charles VI, Chuillaume Desprez, an old mansion dating from the eighteenth century, the hotel City Clamart, worth a visit. Inside, the Hall of Weddings and the Council Chamber were decorated by wall paintings of the twentieth century classified historic monument or listed in the inventory. Following the development of the town hall square, an art competition was organized and saw the installation of the Thurotte fountain, the artist of the same name. Installed in 1943, it was inspired by a Greek Revival style with a young shepherd playing the flute near a goat.

The current Saint-Pierre Saint-Paul church was rebuilt in 1523. With a side gate flamboyant style, capitals and part of the time frame, it also has a western facade of Tuscan style dating back to the Eighteenth century. Events and festivities

Facing culture and willing to animate its streets, Clamart is causing numerous events all as interesting as each other.

Clamart not welcome under three markets: Tuesday and Saturday from 9am to 13pm on the street Paul Vaillant-Couturier, Wednesday and Sunday from 9 am to 13h on the Avenue Victor Hugo, and Wednesday and Friday 12h to 19h on the Place Aimé Césaire. From the last November weekend, the city offers a Christmas market with numerous craftsmen and animations.

In January, place Clamart festival at the cinema. This festival of short films offers a dozen young filmmakers films.
