Village of the Aisne region Haut-de-France, Chermizy-Ailles takes place about fifteen kilometers from Laon and more than a hundred kilometers from the regional capital, Reims. It is located near Chamouille Orgeval and Monthenault.
Elder territory Chermizy-Ailles is mentioned for the first time in the registers in the middle of the twelfth century as the Calmisiacus. The town has long been known for the exploitation of quarries, whose stones were mainly used in the construction of the Cathedral of Laon. Partly destroyed in the seventeenth century by the troops of the Prince of Conde, she also suffered from the throes of World War I in the early twentieth century.
Full of charm, the village of Chermizy-Ailles continues to attract visitors today with its rich heritage and beauty of its architecture.
