The Jumellière: It was the name of a family who died in 1529 with René La Jumellière. The town was almost burned to the Revolution and was entirely rebuilt in the center of a territory rich in agriculture. The name of the Jumellière comes from two small valleys "twin" that surround it: the valley Oyon, with its stony hillsides, covered with gorse, and Game valley, wild and scenic. In the Middle Ages was a feudal castle. He belonged to the family of the Jumellière, who was one of the most powerful of Anjou. The last heir married around 1330 Louis Beaupréau, in which the area was annexed.
