Jarzé Villages

Inscribed in the Historic Monuments, the church of Saint-Martin takes place in Beauvau. Built in the 11th century, it has a Romanesque nave as well as a choir of the 13th and 14th centuries. The municipality also hosts the dolmen of the Molières, a vestige of the ancient occupation on the territory.

There are plenty of places to discover in the village of Chaumont-d'Anjou, like the Abbey of Chaloché. Inscribed in the Historic Monuments for its roofs, its facades and its grounds, it dates from the first half of the XIIth century. Near the conventual buildings, one can still admire an old medieval barn. Right next door, the doorway houses two rooms with a large vaulted barrel vault. Do not miss the chapel that adjoins the whole. Two castles also take place on the territory, the Rouvoltz castle, a neo-Renaissance property listed in the Historic Monuments, and the Château de Vaux, a private property also listed in the Historic Monuments inventory.

In Jarzé, you will be able to admire the old castle inscribed with the Historic Monuments, as well as the chapel Notre-Dame-de-Montplacé. Classified as Historical Monuments, it houses the burial of Piter Deurbroucq, deputy and president of the regional council of Maine-et-Loire in the nineteenth century. Built in the 11th century, Saint-Cyr-et-Sainte-Julitte church is also worth a visit. Classified as Historic Monuments, it reveals a beautiful twisted bell tower. Private property, the manor of La Roche-Thibault is also listed in the inventory of Historic Monuments.

Two sites listed in the Historic Monuments are located in Lué-en-Baugeois, the Perraudière castle and the Sainte-Marie church.

On July 13th, for the National Holiday, the town offers a fireworks display and a popular ball.
