Small village of more than 400 inhabitants, Chaumont takes place in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in the department of Haute-Savoie. It is located not far from Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, and the Swiss border.
Former châtellenie of Geneva, Chaumont developed in fortified town at the foot of its old castle, especially at the beginning of the XIVe century. Today, popular with tourists, the town unveils a historical and architectural heritage that testifies to a rich and glorious history, as the various castles still installed on the territory of this Savoyard city.
Its proximity to Switzerland and the most beautiful natural and cultural sites of the Savoy makes it an ideal place to spend a few days of holidays in peace and clean air.
Chaumont is located at the crossroads of the pilgrimages of Santiago de Compostela and the Huguenot road.
