A former fortified castle from the 12th century, the castle of Châteauneuf reveals itself in the form of a fortress typical of the Burgundian military architecture of the 15th century. It was used at the time to guard the southern end of the Auxois.
Standing proudly on a limestone balcony, the castle of Châteauneuf reveals to its visitors an oblong enclosure with five towers connected by curtain walls. It is also possible to admire a dwelling and a chapel in the Gothic style.
