Listed as an historic monument, the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church of Chapelle-des-Bois, in the Doubs, was built in the 17th century and underwent numerous transformations in the 18th and then in the 19th century, in particular with the addition of a sacristy.
Elongated in plan, it has three naves in ribbed vaults, as well as a bell tower topped by an imperial dome, a typical element of Franche-Comté architecture. Covered with a roof with long metal sides, the church of Chapelle-des-Bois has several classified elements inside it or as objects such as an 18th century high altar, 18th century bronze and crystal chandeliers or a Christ on the cross. from the 17th century.
