Things to see and do

Church of St. Joseph, the 19th century parish church of Saint-Marcel, located Nocq is in ruins. The Bishop of Moulins prohibits its use and the building was subsequently destroyed. The new village priest, a great devotee of St. Joseph, decided to build a church in the town center to Chambérat, instead of a well-known show. The church is neo-Gothic style wearing a St. Joseph, and yet this beautiful remains of frescoes with the starry ceiling, Latin inscriptions of the transept or reasons for gutter walls of the nave. The 16 windows are almost all dedicated to St. Joseph and date from the nineteenth century. Those of the first span represent St. Joseph over Saint Peter's face and, in all modesty, St. Joseph over the church Chambérat.

Events and festivities

Fair: The first Monday after the Assumption (August 15). Certainly exists since Gallo-Roman, it is one of the largest and oldest fairs in the region. Initially dedicated to horses and agricultural products, it hosts every year thousands of visitors. Around 1850, a cow's milk cheese raw whole is created "The Chambérat". Its production disappears in the years 1950-1960 but fortunately risen in recent years. Nearly 20,000 people stroll among some 180 exhibitors in this small village.
