Located in the valley of the Loing, the town of Châlette-sur-Loing is related to water as evidenced by its name from the Latin meaning cataract waterfall. The remarkable site of the 3 channels, the channels join Briare, Orleans and Loing, at the foot of the Lock House of Buges refurbished House of nature and water. A river landing allows boaters to dock there. The Loing River (a tributary of the Seine) and flashing across the city and offer on these shores of beautiful walks.
Cottage has a leisure park that offers an ideal setting for a variety of activities: fishing, swimming, sailing, walks, snacks, outdoor theater. Further north, the wetlands of the Great Rozeau constitute an area of special nature in the middle of town. House of nature and water on the site of the 3 channels on the set design offers a natural and industrial heritage site.
The school museum displays a collection of school furniture and objects from 1850 to 1950 is open for free about once a month. The museum is open to groups by appointment throughout the year.
The vessel "City of Chalet" offers original walks on the canals of the Loing and Briare.
The theater "Hangar" offers a unique and eclectic cultural programming with different genres (circus, song, theater, dance ...).
Two circuits Hiking Classified (RA) enrolled in Departmental Plan routes for walking and hiking in the Loiret: Drive around the lake and the trail "of the lake near blond." The brochure "rides Châlette" is available free on request from the tourism department of the city.
