Former abbey of the Premonstratensian order built in the 13th century, the abbey of Belle-Étoile still unveils its remains in the town of Cerisy-Belle-Étoile, in the Orne. Destroyed during the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century, however, it still reveals some buildings listed as Historic Monuments.
It is thus possible to admire the tithe barn with its 15th century framework with Gothic lance-shaped windows or the old farmhouse split in the 17th century into Salles de Haut and Salles de Bas. Some remains of the abbey itself are also visible, and visitors can particularly appreciate two granite fireplaces.
