Located on the edge of the forest of Monts d'Orb, the commune of Ceilhes-et-Rocozels takes place in Occitania, in the department of Herault. It is about an hour from Montpellier and Béziers, important tourist sites of the region.
The village of Ceilhes-et-Rocozels has been exploited since the Gallo-Roman period for its mines, of which there are still some vestiges. It developed mainly during the Middle Ages. Renowned at that time for its livestock fairs which lasted until the twentieth century, it is today turned essentially towards a tourist activity.
