15th century manor fortified and regularized in the second half of the 17th century on a platform surrounded by moats, the Château de La Saulaie, at Candé, was profoundly redesigned in the 19th century by the architect Auguste Beignet. The site is now surrounded by a walled park by the landscape gardener Eugène Bühler.
Inhabited private property, the Château de La Saulaie is not currently open to visitors.
