Monument in Caen

Also called Langlois Museum and Pavilion of the fair, the Pavilion of Learned Societies Caen is an eighteenth century building that was originally used to house the aldermen at fairs. Registered historic monument, he served in the nineteenth century to accommodate the various learned societies of the capital of Normandy, which gave it its current name. At the end of the nineteenth century, it also hosts during a time of monumental paintings, become the Langlois museum before seeing its collections join the Museum of Fine Arts following the widespread destruction of the bombing of the Second World War.

Completely restored, the building now houses part of the services Lemière school and can be admired from the outside to discover its facade of classical inspiration and Greek guns and Roman antiquity.
