Cabannes

Typical town of the Midi, Cabannes unveils to its visitors passing through the region a pleasant setting where it is good to spend some quiet and peaceful moments. In the middle of the plane trees, between the wash house and the games of pétanque, you can discover a large number of old houses before going to admire the parish church. Built between the end of the 12th century and the beginning of the 14th century, it has undergone many transformations over the centuries. It is, however, possible to discover two side chapels built by the great lords of the time which date from the original construction.

• The town offers a farmers market every Tuesday morning and an organic market on Saturday morning.
• Concerts are organized in June on the occasion of the Fête de la Musique.
• Beginning of July, place at the concerts of the Night of the Blues.
• The celebration of the Madeleine is celebrated every year at the end of July, with the program, festive meals, a bodega, a Provençal parade, a funfair, fireworks, pétanque tournaments and other activities for all public.
• End of September, place at the feast of St. Michael with its abrivado and bandido festival or its parade of carts.
• A Christmas market provençal is organized in December.
