The memorial of the 1870 war is the work of sculptor Ernest Nivet Berry.

The castle was the location of the current position. It was destroyed by German troops August 30, 1944. The neo-gothic church of the 19th and 20th centuries leads to the only remains of the castle gardens descending in terraces to the edge of the Indre. Next Great Gardens, the former Romanesque church of Saint Honore was burned by German troops August 30, 1944. On its site, the current City Hall was built.
