Brou

Located in the department of Eure-et-Loir, Brou takes place between Beauce and Perche, and is crossed by Ozanne, a tributary of the Loir. The small town is located on the axis Chartres-Le Mans and has an important dynamic, thanks to its large supply of services and equipment.

On tourism, the city of Brou was able to develop over the years its architectural and cultural heritage, particularly through various cultural activities. The nature around is also an opportunity for visitors to appreciate the local fauna and flora through several paths marked and landscaped walks.

Small country town, Brou can enjoy the peace and quiet while enjoying leisure and entertainment offered throughout the year. The city was recently labeled Green Station.

Things to see and do

Little treasure in the heart of Eure-et-Loir, the common Brou this still an architectural and cultural heritage that does not lack charm.

probably built in the twelfth century, the Saint-Lubin church was enlarged in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries with a new aisle and a transept. You can see inside an eighteenth century furniture as well as statues and paintings of religious art.

Now disused, St. Mark's chapel was built in the early fourteenth century. You can still see the remains of a restored apse. It now houses the tourist office intercommunal Perche-Gouët and several exhibitions from local artists.

Place des Halles was built in the mid-fourteenth century. The current building sits on the remains of a first wooden hall. Built in the mid-nineteenth century, it is entirely in stone and still houses the town market. The square hosts a beautiful half-timbered house listed building dating from the fifteenth century.

Walking through the streets of Brou, it is possible to admire a beautiful half-timbered house listed historical monument in the street of Changes, or a memorial of the early twentieth century.

Near the pond and pond Balastière Michel Hamet, the Brou leisure park presents its facilities including an outdoor pool and a swin golf.

Along the Ozanne, the city has a garden and a promenade to admire old wash houses.

Events and festivities

The small town charm of Brou by its heritage, but also by the many events it offers throughout the year.

Brou The market is held every Wednesday in the halls of the city.

Every afternoon, from December to early January, carnival takes place in the streets of Brou.

In March, the spring festival is an opportunity to discover the stands and many other growers and nurserymen and landscapers to attend events of all kinds.

Summer evenings Brou take place in July with a lyric festival for young artists to perform in concert.
