Cistercian abbey founded in the nineteenth century, the abbey of Notre-Dame-de-Grace takes place on the town of Bricquebec-en-Cotentin, in the department of Manche. The monks dried up the surrounding swamps and then created a dairy cow farm, a mill, a cheese factory, a cold meat shop and a monastic shop.
The current community counts fifteen trappist monks and welcomes people wishing to live a time of retreat, prayer or reflection in the calm of the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce abbey.
Monks from the Abbey of Bricquebec have founded several abbeys of girls in Japan, and the father goes there every year.
Deli and cheese are always made on site and offered for sale.
