City of Essonne, in the Ile-de-France, Brétigny-sur-Orge takes place ten kilometers of Evry, on the left bank of the Seine, twenty-five kilometers from Paris and tourist monuments. It is located near Montlhery, Arpajon and Fleury-Merogis.
Inhabited since prehistoric times, as evidenced by the remains found there, the territory of Brétigny-sur-Orge began to develop in the Middle Ages, including the construction of its first church in the eleventh century.
