A tourist tradition has settled since the creation of Lake of Der. The town strives to be attractive, by the floral and maintenance of the church, whose porch is classified by the Fine Arts.
The occupation of the village is very old Braucourt. Ways ancient vessels roamed the already started across the valley towards Blaise Ambrières and Brienne, very straight roads (as roads Champagne) and taken by road. From Roman coins have been found in the village. Braucourt was fortified and belonged to the abbey of Montier-en-Der.
