Listed as a Historic Monument, the Château de la Mauvoisinière takes place in the town of Orée d'Anjou, in Maine-et-Loire. Erected in the second half of the 17th century, it is the only one spared in the Mauges at the time of the revolutionary wars in the 18th century.
The Château de la Mauvoisinière is made up of a set of formal gardens enclosed by a moat, 17th and 18th century outbuildings and two courtyard pavilions. Partly modified in the 19th century, it was then embellished with a stewardship house and a chapel.
